Hey hey, I'm the founder of The Root Project. I come from a multicultural background, Greek and Spanish (I’m actually fluent in Spanish), and growing up hearing my relatives tell their stories opened my eyes to how much is out there in everyday people's lives. That's where my interest in telling those stories started.

 

I trained my eye in the commercial production and indie filmmaking worlds, and I wanted to bring that same skill to something more personal and grounded. My hope for The Root Project is for it to grow to the same level as family photos or wedding videos, something people just do.

 

The chance to capture somebody's elderly grandparent, or adventurous mom, or accomplished sibling is why I do this. I believe 30 to 60 minutes of your loved one talking through their life and stories, uninterrupted, is one of the best things you can do for your family now, and down the line when grandkids do their own soul searching.
